At Lake Wylie Pet Resort, we strive to create a fun, safe, and comforting environment for all of our guests—whether that means letting them run and play or simply laying back to rest and be pampered. It is important to us that your furry family members enjoy their time with us, and that you can rest assured that they’re in good hands!
With that said, it is important to note that all animals respond to boarding and to doggie daycare differently. For some pets, it can frankly be a stressful experience and require a period of adjustment. We find that this is especially true when it comes to senior dogs. Sometimes the experience of boarding or attending doggie daycare can prompt these pets to act in ways that is abnormal—holding in their urine or regressing a bit in their house training, among other possibilities.
This is not necessarily normal but it is common. We do everything we can to be sensitive to the needs of different guests, and are happy to talk with you about ways to keep your furry friends feeling safe and cherished. More than anything, we want pet owners to be aware of this, and to be alert to potential changes in your pet’s temperament, following being boarded.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns! We look forward to showing you the depth of our passion for keeping your pets safe and comfortable.
