At Lake Wylie Pet Resort, we want to make sure your pet has a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay. To help us care for your pet to the best of our ability, please take note of the following guidelines:
All pets must enter and exit the building on a leash for their safety.
We do not allow drop-offs or pick-ups on holidays, with no exceptions.
We do not accept puppies under nine months old.
We reserve the right to refuse grooming and/or boarding based on your pet’s health, temperament, flea or tick infestation, or age. We also reserve the right to report any signs of animal abuse or neglect to the proper authorities.
Please note that we do not administer medications to feline guests, and for dogs requiring medication, a fee will be assessed based on the complexity of their treatment.
A $35 fee will be charged for any returned checks.
Please pre-sort your pet’s meals into Ziploc bags. If food is not pre-sorted, it will be returned, and we will provide our own food for a charge of $10 per day. If you need us to pre-bag your pet’s meals, a $10 fee will apply.
Please ensure your dog is clean and free of ticks and fleas. Any dogs arriving with fleas or ticks will be bathed and treated at the owner’s expense.
Please bring your pet’s current vaccination records and complete all necessary forms before your visit. If the forms are not completed in advance, you will need to fill them out at check-in.
Please label all items you bring for your pet to ensure they are returned properly.
There will be a $10 per day charge for unspayed females and unneutered males. An $8 special handling fee will apply for pets that require extra care or handling (e.g., dogs that can’t interact with other pets, dogs with food aggression, or dogs that need extra supervision). If the feeding separation is noted at check-in, this will incur a smaller $3 per day fee.
Our check-in times are from 3-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, and 3-4 p.m. on Sunday. Check-out times are from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, and 3-4 p.m. Sunday. On Wednesday, check-in is from 4-6 p.m., and check-out is from 8-9:30 a.m. We also offer early check-ins and late check-outs for a $10 fee (only during business hours).
If your pet causes any damages to our suites, crates, or other property, you may be charged up to $150 for repairs or replacements.
If we need to pick up food or medication, or take your pet to the vet, a fee of $10-$50 will be assessed based on the distance.
Please download and complete the required LWPR Client Agreement and Bordetella form before bringing your pet. We also ask that you complete the Mandatory Check-In Form in advance, so we can provide the best care for your pet. If the form isn’t completed before check-in, you will be asked to fill it out in our reception area before we can check your pet in.
Your cooperation with these policies helps us provide a happy and healthy experience for your pet and all of our furry guests. We look forward to serving you and your pet, and appreciate your understanding!
The safety and well-being of our furry guests are our highest priorities. To ensure a healthy and comfortable environment for everyone, we kindly ask that all dogs boarding with us are up-to-date on their vaccinations. When you bring your pet for boarding, please provide the most recent vaccination records from your veterinarian, confirming the following:
Canine Influenza: Not required, but highly recommended (please ask your vet if this vaccine is right for your pet)
We also ask that all pets be flea- and tick-free before their stay. If your pet arrives with fleas or ticks, we will take care of it and the cost will be added to your bill. If you need advice on effective flea and tick prevention, we’re happy to offer recommendations.
While we do not require pets to be spayed or neutered, we strongly encourage it for the well-being of all our guests. Please note that an additional fee applies for pets that are not spayed or neutered.
All guests must complete the LWPR Client Agreement before any boarding, grooming, or daycare services.
We truly appreciate your help in keeping our environment safe, comfortable, and welcoming for all our guests. If you have any questions or would like more information about our policies or safety measures, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We’re here to help!
